Question 1

What is GEO AI?

Accepted Answer

GEO AI (Generative Engine Optimization) is optimizing your brand to get cited in AI-generated answers — on Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT Search. In traditional SEO, you compete for link position. In GEO AI, you compete for citation: whether AI mentions you at all, and how it describes you.

Question 2

What is AI SEO and how does it differ from traditional SEO?

Accepted Answer

AI SEO (also called AEO or SEO AI) is getting your brand cited inside AI-generated responses, not just ranked below them. Traditional SEO drives clicks to your pages. AI SEO is what happens before the links — when a user asks a question and the AI answers it without sending them anywhere.

Question 3

Why does GEO AI matter for my business?

Accepted Answer

69% of searches are zero-click. The AI responds, the user moves on, no page gets a visit. Gartner has that share reaching 50% of total search volume by 2028. If your brand isn't in those AI answers, it's missing an increasing portion of the searches where buyers are actually deciding.

Question 4

What results have GEO AI and AI SEO tools actually delivered?

Accepted Answer

Grüns grew AI Share of Voice from 2.0% to 12.6% in 60 days. A second customer moved from 5th to 1st in AI search answers for their category — 38.85% monthly lead growth, 1,561% ROI. Once an AI model starts citing you as a reliable source, it tends to keep doing so.

Question 5

What is PromptGap?

Accepted Answer

PromptGap is a GEO AI and AI SEO platform. It tracks how your brand appears in AI-generated search answers — on Perplexity AI, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot — and gives you the tools to improve your AI visibility, fix content gaps, and stay ahead of competitors in Generative Engine Optimization.

Question 6

Which AI search platforms does PromptGap monitor?

Accepted Answer

We monitor the four AI-powered search surfaces where real users discover brands: Perplexity AI, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot — all live via real browser sessions. All credit plans include access to all four platforms.

Question 7

Why don't you monitor Claude, Llama, or Grok?

Accepted Answer

Claude, Llama, and Grok are powerful AI models but they are not AI search engines — real users don't go to them to discover products or services. We focus exclusively on the AI-powered search surfaces where GEO AI and AI SEO have the most commercial impact: Perplexity AI, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Claude is used internally to analyse and synthesise the scraped results.

Question 8

How is PromptGap different from an SEO tool?

Accepted Answer

Traditional SEO tools track where your pages rank in Google's blue links. PromptGap is a GEO AI platform — it tracks whether and how AI models mention, recommend, or cite your brand when someone asks a question. AI Search is zero-click by default; AI SEO (being recommended inside the answer) is now more valuable than being ranked #1 in organic results.

Question 9

What is a "prompt" in PromptGap?

Accepted Answer

A prompt is a query you want to track — for example, "best CRM for startups" or "top project management tools". PromptGap runs that query across your selected AI models on your chosen cadence and records whether your brand appears, how it is described, and who your AI-cited competitors are.

Question 10

What is the Gap Analyzer?

Accepted Answer

The Gap Analyzer crawls your existing content and identifies topics, entities, and questions that AI models can't confidently answer with your current pages as a source. It then produces a prioritized action list of content to create or improve.

Question 11

How does credit-based pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Every action on PromptGap draws a small number of credits from your balance. Querying one prompt across all four AI platforms costs 60 credits. Buy a credit pack once and use the credits at your own pace — there are no subscriptions, no billing cycles, and no monthly resets.

Question 12

What is the minimum I can spend?

Accepted Answer

$10 for 1,000 credits. No subscription required. Larger packs are discounted up to 30% — the Scale pack (40,000 credits) is $0.007 per credit vs. $0.010 for the Starter pack.

Question 13

Do unused credits roll over?

Accepted Answer

Yes — all credits are permanent and never expire. There is no billing cycle, no monthly reset, and no expiry date. Buy when you need, use at your own pace.

Question 14

Is there a commitment or subscription?

Accepted Answer

No commitment at all. PromptGap is credit-only — you buy what you need, when you need it. Auto-Replenish is optional: enable it in your dashboard to automatically buy a pack when your balance drops below a threshold you set.

Question 15

What happens when I run out of credits?

Accepted Answer

Scheduled probes pause automatically until you top up. If Auto-Replenish is enabled, a new pack is purchased automatically using your saved payment method — no interruption to tracking.

Question 16

How fresh is the tracking data?

Accepted Answer

Starter plans run weekly. Growth plans run daily for your top 20 prompts. Scale plans run daily across all tracked prompts. Agency plans can be configured per workspace.

Question 17

Does PromptGap store my competitors' data?

Accepted Answer

We store aggregated AI-response data that includes competitor mentions within the context of your tracked prompts. We do not build standalone competitor profiles or share your tracking data with other customers.

Question 18

Is PromptGap GDPR compliant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All data is stored in EU-region infrastructure. We are GDPR compliant and can provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) on request for Enterprise customers.
